Malaymas - Malaysian and Chinese food restaurant

Our recent favourite for dinner is a simple outfitted Malaysian & Chinese food take away or eat in restaurant in North Fitzroy. Our housemates have gone there for a while and always mentioned that we should go for this restaurant for a cheap and great meal. It's interior is rather simple, brown wooden tables and chairs, seats for up to around forty people. It's a great place to go to if you are hungry and eager for some great tastes. The staff is friendly and food is delivered very quickly. It's very popular place, so most of the times it's full and it's a good idea to reserve the table. We have now gone there so many times and the food has always been superb. My favourites are definitely the Malyasian style noodle soups called laksa. I keep on having the same laksas, whether curry laksa (noodles served in coconut curry soup with chicken pieces, fishcake, bbq pork, tofu and beanshoots) or seafood laksa (curry laksa served with fishcake, fishball, prawn, calamari, mussels, eggplants and tofu). I have also tried plum sauce chicken which was really tasty. Here I have first time tried the famous Teh Tarik - Malaysian black tea with condensed milk. By some notes in Urbanspoon it has been named the best Malaysian restaurant in Melbourne. They have all what it takes to fulfill your appetite. Even writing it now makes me want to go there again. These laksas are just so amazing.
